Going back...

Dear Friends,
Since my arrival back in the States in July 2009, many of you have asked if and when I will be returning to Zambia. Well, I think I FINALLY have the answer to that question...THIS SUMMER! After much prayer and nudging from dear friends, God is allowing me to return to one of my favorite places on this earth. I have truly missed my African home and Zambian friends and family. (Just a quick reminder, I spent 2 months at the Bible College in Zambia in the summer of 2009 and LOVED every minute of it).
The trip is from June 2-17. I will be meeting up with friends from Delaware, a team of seven, and then traveling to and from Zambia with them. While I am in Zambia, I will be taking zillions of pictures of the students and the college. (I know, nothing out of the ordinary there.) I will be working with the Gospelink staff in creating a yearbook to give to the graduating seniors at their graduation in January 2013. As of right now, I'm not 100% sure what I will be doing at the college. There are 2 different schedules that could happen. 1. Do the normal trip where I spend one week at the college helping where needed. I've heard there is a lot of painting to be done. The second week would be spent at the schools in the Lusaka area sharing Jesus to the students. Or 2. Spend both weeks at the college taking lots of pictures to be included in the yearbook. Either option is a winner and allows me to spend time with my Zambian friends and family.
I am looking forward to seeing all of the students I met 3 years ago and all of the Pastors I've ministered along side of since my first trip in 2006. Even though we are on different continents and different hemispheres, I know that we are one in Jesus. One of my favorite songs that I learned in Zambia, written in Bemba, is NINANI WALAYA. It asks “Who is going to proclaim the word or the Lord to the ungodly? It is us who will go and proclaim the word of God to the ungodly.” It takes all of us, from different parts of the world to do this. We are one in the Kingdom, Let's come together in one accord. I wish I could attach my recording of this song for you to hear. It is sung by the 12 seniors and one young woman who is a Junior, and is AMAZING! This young woman is my dear friend Mildred, whom my parents and I sponsor. Even though some of the students are on Facebook, it will be a great pleasure seeing them in person. I will also get a chance to meet all of the other students who have come since my last trip. I also am looking forward to worship with the Zambian people. It is truly beautiful!
In all of my travels to Zambia, I know that they could not have been possible without those who have prayed for me and those who have financially supported me. Please be in prayer for my preparation for this trip and the finances. The cost of the trip is $3700. This includes all plane fares, accommodations, food (nshima), my visa, taxes, etc. These funds are due by mid-April. I am also seeking 2 people to pray for me each day while I am gone. If you are interested in being a prayer partner while I am gone, please contact me at wannabgrasshopper@yahoo.com. Thank you for prayerfully considering how God might use you to be a part of this trip to Zambia.

Ngati Mulungu Alola,

Shalon Bellmore
