We are still headed home. We did see a beautiful sunrise somewhere outside of Rome. In Rome, we did see the beginnings of the sunrise and it went ahead of us to Washington DC. It is awe-inspiring to see God's Handiwork.
We finally arrived on solid ground in Washington, just to find out we missed our flight. We were rebooked for a later flight, which allowed us time to stand and not be confined to a very uncomfortable seat. We also had the opportunity to eat American Food. Ummmm...Hope the grease doesn't do a number on my system.
Iowa and Illinois were able to all get on the same flight to Chicago. And then in Chicago, it was time to say goodbye to my new friends.
It will be an interesting transition from spending day and night with 20 of my closest friends, to my family. It was good to get home and spend time with my family and my dog. The next few days will be full of reflection, relaxation, sleep, sleep, and more sleep. It seems that it takes me a couple of weeks to get back on the right sleep schedule. We'll see how long it takes this time.
THANK YOU TO ALL THAT SUPPORTED ME THROUGH PRAYERS AND MADE THIS TRIP POSSIBLE!!! MAY GOD BLESS YOU RICHLY!!!
