This morning included ministry at a church in Lusaka by Allen, Randy, and I. It was held in a rented building that I think will be used for auto parts...or something. Anyway, Randy and I had Sunday School with the children, and we left Allen to the adults. Randy and I shared the story of the Little Lost Sheep and the Wordless Book. We also gave the kids a Wordless Book Bracelet and reviewed it with them. They also got planes and biscuits (cookies).
Right before church started, Pastor Elias quizzed the children on the book and reviewed it with the adults. He loved the book and was able to keep it for a teaching tool. This church had 22 people today. 15 kids and maybe 7 adults. It is a church plant and it is only in it's 4th week. Allen brought the message today. It was fun to spend time with the kids!!!
After church was lunch....PIZZA. It was pretty good pizza!! We did run into a small snafoo...the truck from the college broke down. It barely made it into the Manda Hill parking lot (another mall in the area). Stewart and Brian worked on the truck all afternoon. I think the clutch went out and the wires for the battery were bad. Something to that effect. Anyway, the peanut gallery just hung around watching waiting for AAA to show up. Unfortunately, AAA never showed, but Stewart (our chaufuer for the weekend) and Brian were able to get it running again. Stewart has proven to be a man of many hidden talents.
On to shopping!! We headed to Arcades for our souvenir shopping for the trip. Lots of cool things, but only limited money and suitcase space. It's fun to bargain, especially when you are truthful and say you only have so much money left. They don't really believe you. I was able to get most of my gifts today. If only I could find what I really wanted for a few people, I would have been all set. No such luck.
Tonight, the group that went to Victoria Falls arrived back to the Barn. A very long, tiring, cramped trip in a bus and a mini bus. We'll just say everyone made it home safely.
