I would love to share about an AWESOME opportunity I feel the LORD is calling me to. A mission trip back to Zambia to build onto the International Bible College and to minister to children in schools. When I returned home from the 2008 trip, the sermons were based in Acts. I felt God prodding me to go back to Zambia. Through conversations with Gospelink, the doors have been wide open. Earlier this summer, I was frustrated with my job and was seeking other avenues (new job, going back to school, etc). I took an afternoon and spent time with God. My prayer at that point went something like this, "God, I hate my job right now. If you want me to stay here, you need to give me peace." God gave me that peace. Every door that I had tried was slammed shut in my face. Going to Zambia for an extended amount of time has proven to be a wide open door. The trip to Zambia will take place May 17, 2009-July 11, 2009. I have been to Zambia the past 3 years. Gospelink is in the midst of building a Bible College, which will train hundreds of Pastors. Those Pastors will be more equipped to "GO", evangelizing and planting churches. This next year, will be the first year of students at the college. The goal for this year’s trip is to continue building the college so that more students will be able to attend classes in the years to come. While I am there, I will be helping in whatever is needed. I will be building, helping the ladies cook, and encouraging Brian and Kelly Jo Kallevig (missionaries from Minnesota who moved to Zambia in October, 2008 with their 7 children). It has been quite encouraging to see those that I have met in the past 3 years in Zambia and share how God has used each national Pastor in their respective ministry. It is vital for the national Pastors of several African countries to be trained to share the Gospel throughout their own country. With the completion of the Bible College, hundreds of thousands of Pastors will be trained! Please be in prayer about this trip as there are many logistics to work through. Please join me in praying for guidance and provision.
