March 11, 2013 Update

Last week was a tough week for my friends and students at the International Bible College of Zambia.  One of the students (Esnart) passed away due to complications from a surgery.  She had spent almost two months in the hospital.  Though we are grieving her loss, we know she is in heaven with a perfect body, dancing and singing.  

The students were actively involved in the burial process.  Please click on Dr Marjie's blog for more funeral information.  She was able to take pictures and show the cultural differences between the USA and Zambia.  When Esnart's family was given the last of Esnart's belongings, her sister provided encouragement from Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

"There is a time for everything,

and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,

a time to plant and a time to uproot,

a time to kill and a time to heal,

a time to tear down and a time to build,

a time to weep and a time to laugh, 

a time to mourn and a time to dance,

a time to scatter stones an a time to gather them,

a time to tear and a time to mend,
