Support...

I'm still raising support for my upcoming trip to Zambia (May 3-19).  Please contact me for details.  Below is a copy of my support letter and what I will be doing in Zambia.  Thank you for your prayers!

Dear Friends,
The past few months have been quite busy at the International Bible College of Zambia (IBCZ).  There have been 2 families that have moved to the college, 3 more raising support to be able to move, the first graduation, new students arriving, and work on the clinic.  Dr Marjie moved to IBCZ just a few weeks ago, and is eager to get the clinic up and running.  With so much going on, there is still so much to do.  Many buildings need to be finished (painting, roofing, plumbing, etc).
The first graduation of IBCZ took place January 19 and twelve students graduated.  These guys are eager for the next adventure in their journey.  Last year, part of my mission was taking pictures for student ID’s and for a yearbook for the twelve graduates.  I didn’t realize how big of a task it would be to put the yearbook together.  There were thousands of pictures to find, sort through, and arrange.  (Ok, so most of those were my pictures).  In the end, we were able to purchase yearbooks for each of the graduates and the library.  I will be taking these books with me in May.  I am eager to share these books!
Classes for the rest of the students began in mid-January, with enrollment of 69 students.  Many of the freshman are from Malawi.  These students are eager to learn and to share Christ with those around them.

I will be leaving for Zambia May 3, 2013, meeting up with friends from Delaware and a group from South Carolina in Amsterdam.  We will then travel to Zambia.  We will head back to the USA May 18, and I will arrive back home May 19. While in Zambia, I will be spending both weeks at the college, helping out where needed.  There are always so many things that need to be done.  I will have opportunities to help in the clinic, paint, build, encourage the students and missionaries, village ministry, and possibly minister in a local school.  During my time there, a group will be coming to start building the orphanage.  Whew...A lot of ministry opportunities and activities to get involved in.
In all of my travels to Zambia, I know that they could not have been possible without those who have prayed for me and those who have financially supported me.  Please be in prayer for my preparation for this trip, finances, and how God will use me at the college.  The cost of the trip is $2500.  This includes all plane fares, accommodations, food (nshima), my visa, taxes, etc.  These funds are due by March 31.  I am also seeking 2 people to pray for me each day while I am gone (a total of 38 people).  If you are interested in being a prayer partner while I am gone, please contact me.  You can also follow my preparation and reflections on my blog www.shalon-in-zambia.blogspot.com.  Thank you for prayerfully considering how God might use you to be a part of this trip to Zambia.

Ngati Mulungu Alola,

Shalon Bellmore
